SCULPTURE OF THE WEEK
This week, I wanted to share the story behind a piece that my gallery in Maui sold today, "Above it All".
Rene Auberjonois is an actor (“Odo” in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine) who owned land with me in the woods of New Hampshire. He used to draw happy little figures that, later on, inspired me to draw a girl dancing on top of a blue sphere. Here she is in bronze on a stainless steel sphere, above the earth, the universe, her own universe.
To commission in any size, please email bronzes@ninawinters.com.
And visit the website, www.ninawinters.com to see all of my work.

ARK CISUR MAGAZINE
See the article written about my work in Ark Cisur International Magazine (Chile):
http://www.arkcisur.com/contenido.php?sec=3
Here is a translation of an excerpt from the editorial-
"Born and raised in New York, Nina was educated at the School of Fine Arts and Architecture at Cornell University, the School of Visual Arts, Parsons School of Design and Hunter Graduate School.
Nina Began her career as an artist in the field of illustration, working for clients such as Bantam Books, Columbia Records, the Plaza Athenee Hotel in New York and Northwest Airlines.
Shortly after college, Nina began doing three-dimensional art, after having a dream of monumental bronzes withstanding the test of time to create a positive message to society.
Now Nina is living that dream. With her bronze sculptures in collections around the world, and numerous monumental projects (including a 2.3 meter x 2.8 meter commission by Vice President of PepsiCo), Nina is making a name for herself in internationally.
And unlike most contemporary artists, her work speaks less of what the human condition is, but what it can be."
